This week in Drawing Club, Reception have been exploring the story The Colour Monster, a beautifully illustrated book that helps children understand and talk about their emotions.

As part of their learning, the children focused on the blue monster, representing sadness. They created thoughtful drawings and labelled them with an ‘s’ to show the emotion being expressed. This activity encouraged pupils to reflect on feelings and how they can be represented visually.

Reception showed great creativity and emotional awareness as they brought the Colour Monster to life through their artwork.
