Dosthill Pupils Shine in Cross-Town Sporting Events

Dosthill pupils have recently made their mark in cross-town sporting events, demonstrating exceptional talent and sportsmanship. Upper Key-Stage 2 pupils participated in inter-school competitions, bringing home impressive results.

Netball Tournament Triumph

In a thrilling netball tournament, Amelia, Lilly-Belle, Elsie, Freya, Sophia, Ella, Olivia, and Scarlett faced off against formidable competition. Their strong performance led them to a commendable second place. Mrs Dixon praised the team, stating, “The children who took part in the netball competition last week represented our school beautifully. They showed skill, teamwork, and enthusiasm to work together against some strong opponents - Well done girls! ”

Swimming Gala Success

Following the netball tournament, Dosthill pupils participated in a large-scale swimming gala. The swimmers, including Jacob, Isaac, Max, Henry, Daisy, Ellie, Chloe, Francesca, Nathan, Euan, Daniel, Owen, Millie, Scarlett, Sophia, Lily, Theo, Leo, Chloe, Evie, Amelia, and Katie, were commended by Mrs Calnan and Miss McKinnon. “A huge well done to all the children who took part in the swimming gala last week. You were all amazing and swam tremendously well and should be proud of the way you represented yourselves and Dosthill school.”

Dosthill’s swimmers fared exceptionally well, securing places in numerous finals. In individual events, Scarlett, Amelia, and Lily excelled in the backstroke, while Daniel and Chloe shone in the front crawl. Chloe also secured a place in the butterfly event, and Theo made his mark in the breaststroke and individual medley. Daisy, Charlie, Jacob, and Nathan also stood out in the breaststroke.

In the relay events, Leo, Isaac, Owen, and Jacob will represent Dosthill in the front crawl, while Daisy, Scarlett, and Evie will participate in the medley.
