Year 1 Gets Creative and Green-Fingered with Planters Visit

Year 1 children had a fantastic time when Planters Garden Centre came to visit! They got creative by decorating bunting with bees and flowers, which will be proudly displayed around Planters.
During the visit, the children learned just how important bees are — discovering that bees help flowers grow by moving pollen, which leads to more plants, fruit, and food for both people and animals. They also found out that without bees, many of our favourite foods wouldn’t grow, and we wouldn’t have sweet honey!
To help support bees in our own school grounds, the children planted beautiful, bee-friendly plants and discussed what these plants need to stay alive and thrive.
Well done, Year 1 — your creativity and care for nature are truly buzzing!
